Two childhood friends growing up in rural Tamil Nadu in the early 1990s have their world upended when Dorothy, a woman who has treated them with unusual gentleness, comes into their lives. The film looks at caste, violence and the pressures of masculinity through the people around them, with compassion as its counterweight.
