Synopsis

A laid-off factory worker and his wife cross paths with a documentary filmmaker and her husband while a documentary is being shot about their lives. As the two couples spend more time together, their private wants and quiet dissatisfactions start to surface. Lee Chang-dong's first feature in eight years is a relationship drama about desire and the gap between how people live and how they wish they lived.
